I loved this. (*Or really strongly liked, if you will :) Each of you took such an interesting and well thought out approach to the concept of love that resonated w me as a listener; and then went further to question my og beliefs (and biases) which helped me reevaluate my current situation. Happy Valentine’s Day, 8AMers. Can’t wait to see what’s next from you!
Loved the podcast! Speaking on the Beijing topic, I think that it’s very difficult, personally I believe that yes if you truly love them then you will go and follow them there. But what if you did love them and didn’t go? Does that mean you don’t love them or does it mean that you just weren’t in the right place in your life to go with them there? Sometimes when you personally have a dream to achieve something of your own and have been planning a life around where you thought you would be, how do you just give all the up for one person. Which brings me to the point of I think you can love someone but not meant to be with them. Sometimes like you said Arlin selfishness plays a huge role in things and I believe that is a good thing in life because you’re choosing to do what’s best for you no matter how much you may love that person. You may never get over them if you let them go and you will wish them all the best but in your heart you know that you can love them but you have to also make sure you can still love yourself at the same time.
Just what I needed to hear on my Valentine’s Day!!
